Beth Mabbutt
Chair of Trustees and Founder
Beth is the founder and Chair of Trustees of the West Oxfordshire Performing Arts Foundation, where she combines her professional expertise with a lifelong love of the stage. After benefiting from speech and drama festivals as a young performer in Northamptonshire, she was surprised to find no similar platform in Oxfordshire—and took it upon herself to create one. Driven by a belief in the power of the arts to inspire, connect, and uplift, she brought together a team of passionate trustees who share her vision for an inclusive, community-rooted festival.
A trained vocalist and experienced performer, Beth’s credits span Shakespeare, musical theatre, and pantomime. She is also proud to serve on the team of Directors for Buttercross Theatre Productions, where she supports everything from creative development and assistant directing to stage management and marketing. Her favourite roles often involve a touch of mischief—and a lot of glitter.
Professionally, Beth works as a Consumer Insight Operations Manager, specialising in project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership. She brings this same energy and organisation to her work with the Foundation, helping to shape joyful, high-quality events that celebrate the power of live performance. She is especially passionate about building stronger links between local performing arts groups and believes deeply in the value of the arts as a means of personal growth, social development, and community cohesion.
